Casus Belli is the new Escape from Tarkov event, and it’s only set to run for a few days, so you’ll need to work fast if you want to soak up all the rewards. It’s available to all PvE and PvP players from April 9, and it starts with an easy task that’s also named Casus Belli.
If you want to learn how to solve Casus Belli as quickly as possible, find Pillagers in Escape from Tarkov, and find out what comes next, simply read on. We’ve got the full guide for this task, as easy as it is.
How to Find Pillagers in Escape from Tarkov
The core of Casus Belli revolves around finding and killing five Pillagers, a new faction added to Escape from Tarkov specifically for this event. You’ll notice that they’re wearing fancy bulletproof masks, which you’ll also need to collect to complete this task.
The task will be handed to you by Ref, so you’ll need to have him unlocked. Also, you’ll need to have wiped your account or made your account after the November 15 release of Escape from Tarkov 1.0.
Here’s the task description:
Heya, warrior! Got something for you, it’s urgent. I recently rolled out a new feature for the Arena, called it Seasons. Fighters aren’t just chasing cash anymore, they’re fighting for unique rewards. Whole system built around it… Turns out it’s a big hit. I’ve already got Season Three lined up, just waiting on a shipment of reward gear and some upgrade schematics. And now some piece of shit caught wind of the convoys and decided to mess with me.
Can you believe that? They’re trying to ruin a whole season the gladiators have been waiting on since New Year’s! Go take a look and find out who’s behind it. You should be able to spot them by their gear, Arena rewards stand out from standard kit after all. Find those bastards, deal with them, and bring me whatever you can pull off them. At least I’ll know how bad things are and which convoys they’ve already hit.
First, you need to eliminate five Pillagers, but where are they?
To find Pillagers, you’ll want to check the following locations:
Customs
- Bridge
- Stronghold
Woods
- Rundown Village
- Scav House / Checkpoint Road
Lighthouse
- Long Road
- Containers
Shoreline
- Island
- New Gas Station
- Railway
Interchange
- Scav Camp
- Hydroelectric Power Station
Pillagers are tough enemies capable of overwhelming you pretty quickly, and they converge in groups of three to five combatants, so you’ll want to go equipped and loaded for a good fight. You’ll also find Pillagers guarding decent boxes of loot, so keep an eye open for those.
Don’t forget to take their masks, as you’ll need to hand three to Ref to complete this task.
Next, you’ll need to contend with Backup Plan, which we’ve also got a guide for.
