Escape from Tarkov’s Casus Belli event is in full flow, and users are trying to explore the missions it has brought along with it. It all starts with a task called Casus Belli, which requires users to eliminate five Pillagers, members of a new faction added specifically for the event, which ends on April 15.
That task is followed by Backup Plan, which is a little simpler but requires users to perform a mid-raid transition, which is something that always has daunting implications, particularly when tougher enemies, like Pillagers, are scouring the map.
Below, we’ve detailed how to complete Backup Plan in Escape from Tarkov, which starts with finding the large ban at the Old Sawmill in Woods.
How to Complete Backup Plan in Escape from Tarkov
If you want to complete Backup Plan quickly in Escape from Tarkov, you’ll want to follow the steps below.
First, you need to load in on Woods with a Grizzly medkit in your butt (or backpack). Head over to the Old Sawmill location and locate the large barn, which isn’t particularly tough. It’s the biggest building within the point of interest, marked here on the map:

Once you’ve hidden the Grizzly anywhere in the large barn, you’ll need to hit the transition point between Woods and Customs. This is where things start getting tricky, as you need to ensure you stay alive long enough to reach it and to hit the subsequent steps.
Here’s the transition point on the map:

Once you’re in Customs, you’ll need to eliminate any six targets. Then, survive and extract from the map to hand the task to Ref and wrap things up, moving onto the next quest, ‘Taking What’s Mine’.
For completing this task, you’ll get a stack of EXP, 50 GP coins, a Mutant, and a bunch of ammunition and magazines.
