Escape from Tarkov has a new event called Casus Belli, and the heart of it is centered around a conflict between Ref and Skier. It’s a multi-stage event with some choices woven in, and it introduces a new faction called ‘Pillagers’.
To complete Casus Belli and reap all the rewards, you’ll need to contend with a few tasks. One such task is called ‘Taking What’s Mine’, and while it only has a couple of actions under the title, it can be tricky if you don’t know where to go or what to do.
Below, you’ll find out where to stash the CQCM masks in Taking What’s Mine, which is the action that has some users confused.
Where to Stash the CQCM Masks on Shoreline in Taking What’s Mine
Here’s the full mission description for Taking What’s Mine, one of the all-new tasks added for a limited-time event in Escape from Tarkov:
Tell me, are you ready to help save Arena? As long as you don’t switch sides and run to Skier, the reward will be generous. I’ll even dig up a couple of rare pieces from my stash just for you. There are still convoys in Tarkov that never made it to their destination because of those pillaging assholes.
We need to hit back properly so they don’t try this again. And yeah, we also need to make up for the missing reward gear from previous collections. At least partially. I’m setting up a new convoy to collect whatever’s left along the coast. That’s where you come in. Bring all the masks you can find. You’ll need to cross over to the fishers’ island using the old barge, there’s an old house still standing there. Stash my gear somewhere inside it.
Now, to the objectives.
First, you’ll need to eliminate 10 Pillagers. You’ll find them on Customs, Woods, Lighthouse, Shoreline, and Interchange, in the following locations:
Customs
- Bridge
- Stronghold
Woods
- Rundown Village
- Scav House / Checkpoint Road
Lighthouse
- Long Road
- Containers
Shoreline
- Island
- New Gas Station
- Railway
Interchange
- Scav Camp
- Hydroelectric Power Station
Once you’ve done that, you’ll need to stash the Pillagers’ painted CQCM masks on Shoreline. You’ll need four in total. But where do you stash the masks, you ask?
Well, here’s the location on Scav Island where you’ll need to take the masks:

If you’ve previously completed Short on Hands for Skier, you’ll have the option to complete Run Aground for him here. There’s an optional action in Taking What’s Mine to not help Skier with his task. This is where the path splits, and if you complete Ref’s task, you can’t complete Skier’s mission.
