A new report claims that the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake, called ‘Resynced’, is set to be announced next week.
That’s according to ResetERA user BlackBate, who said that the announcement is currently planned for April 16th.
Insider Gaming also understands that the announcement has been planned for April 16th for some time, often citing the “mid-April” release window on the Insider Gaming podcast.
According to internal documentation obtained by Insider Gaming, if it does not go public, the game is scheduled to release in FY 2027 Q2, which is anywhere from June to August of this year. Some sources have suggested that the game will release in July, but given Ubisoft’s tendency to delay or outright cancel its games, we suggest taking this date with a grain of salt.
Resyncing Ubisoft
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will mark a pivotal point for Ubisoft, with the title being one of the French publisher’s major releases for this year’s financial year.
The game will be the first of two major releases this year, with Ubisoft relying on Black Flag Resynced and a mainline Ghost Recon game (due to release late fiscal year), improving the company’s finances.
But recent cost-cutting could put some of its projects at risk, with potentially thousands more layoffs across the publisher’s studios yet to come over the next two years.
Whether or not Black Flag Resynced will be a success remains to be seen, but I am eager to sail the seas once more.

Combat better stay the same. That arkham style from 3 that carried over was somehow better.
It matters not, the remake will *never* see the light of day
Same date as next sop.
