A crossover between Pac-Man and Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds has been announced at Gamescom 2025, with both mascots invading each other’s worlds.
Pac-Man and Sonic are both retro gaming icons, and now their worlds are set to collide in a big way. Announced at Gamescom 2025 with a new trailer, the crossover will see Pac-Man appearing as a character in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, and with Sonic coming to Pac-Man World 2: Re-Pac.
The crossover will work as two separate DLC packs, one for each game, containing the other character.

But that’s not all, the Pac-Man crossover pack will be part of the Sonic Racing: CrossWorld’s first Season Pass and will also include the ghosts as playable characters and a track themed around Pac-Man and his adventures.
Of course, Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac is a remake of the PS2 era classic, and the crossover will bring some Sonic-themed fun to the remake of the game. It will include three Sonic-themed levels and a costume so that Pac-Man can dress up like the Blue Blur.
Pac-Man won’t be the only crossover happening in Sonic Racing: CrossWorld, Minecraft, SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, and Avatar Legends will also be making their presence felt in the racing game.
