Details for the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 campaign were shown during Gamescom Opening Night Live, confirming four-player co-op for the first time.
Releasing November 14, Black Ops 7 will once again be available on Xbox Game Pass, and a slew of details were showcased at Opening Night Live, including a detailed look at the campaign.
The reveal also confirmed our report of a 32-player multiplayer mode on Avalon as part of the campaign, a replayable experience once the main campaign is completed.
Black Ops 7 Features Four-Player Co-Op

In a behind-the-scenes trailer shown after the main campaign reveal, a full explanation of the four-player co-op campaign was revealed, stating that “this time, you are not going in alone.”
While a co-op campaign is not new to the Call of Duty franchise, it has been a long time since the feature was available and gives groups of friends more to complete outside of Zombies and multiplayer.
The adventure in the campaign will take players across the world, including Japan, Nicaragua, Los Angeles, and the aforementioned Avalon, the latter growing with players over the course of the campaign.
The Endgame mode in Avalon is a “PvE social experience,” pitting you and your friends against other groups of players. As you progress through the story, new abilities will be unlocked for the mode.
Additionally, it was confirmed that Global Progression is coming to the campaign, with player and weapon XP, challenges, and Weapon Camos earned through the campaign available to use in Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone.
Further details on Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be revealed in the coming months, including at the COD Next event set to take place on September 30.
