Latest Battlefield 6 Footage Showcases New Gadgets

The latest Battlefield Labs footage shows off a few gadgets in Battlefield 6, including a tracer dart and defibrillators.

Aside from Battlefield Labs leaks, which shared footage of tanks, destruction, and weapons, we still know very little about the game. That being said, Battlefield Studios did reveal a traditional class system, divided into Assault, Engineer, Support, Recon, just as fans know and love.

However, Battlefield 6 brings back a controversial feature from BF 2042 and lets you choose any weapon for a class. This means Recon players can choose an AR if they want and vice versa. The devs introduced signature traits to incentivize you to use weapons designed for your class, but there are no restrictions. In addition to guns and throwables, players are also free to use any gadget they want, regardless of class.

Via MP1st, a Battlefield Labs player recorded a few gadgets available in the playtest.

This includes what appears to be deployable cover, defibrillators to revive teammates, a supply crate that presumably provides ammo and other refills, a tracer dart that reveals the location of enemies, and two other unknown gadgets.

It’s safe to assume that several other gadgets will also be available for the final build. Battlefield Labs is a playtest, though, so there is always a chance that some of these gadgets get removed, reworked, or replaced.

In other Battlefield news, Labs is reportedly testing 120 FPS support on PS5 Pro, rumors suggest there will be a battle royale game mode, and the Campaign allegedly takes inspiration from Civil War and Dead Space.
