Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has hit yet another major milestone with sales passing 7 million copies. The achievement comes nine months since the game’s September 2024 release.
“7 million Space Marines fighting to defend the Imperium,” a social media post reads. “You make the Emperor incredibly proud. Courage and honor, Brothers and Sisters.”
The 7 million copies milestone shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. The game managed to sell over 4.5 million in its first month alone.
Recently, the game received official mod support along with other updates. The game’s next major update—Patch 8—is scheduled to come at the end of June, and includes the long-awaited Siege Mode for all players.
“Set on Kadaku, this new 3-player game mode lets you take down ever deadlier waves of Tyranid and Chaos forces in the defence of an Imperial fortress,” developer Saber Interactive says of the new mode. “Prepare to hold your ground and survive as long as you can against endless enemies, as only in death does duty end.”

In addition to the Siege Mode, Patch 8 includes two new DLCs for Season Pass members and owners of the game’s Ultra and Gold Editions. Those are the White Scars Chapter Pack and the Blood Angels Cosmetic Pack that feature a mix of skins and armor.
Despite continued updates to Space Marine 2, Warhammer 40,000 owner Games Workshop is already looking for the next Warhammer game experience for players.
