A new Dragon Ball game will be unveiled on January 25, 2026, at the Genkida Matsuri event in Japan.

A lot of updates have been arriving recently in the Dragon Ball games space, with all the recent titles receiving some form of new DLC. We have already been informed that Sparking Zero’s devs have another DLC in the works for January 2026, and now it has been revealed that a new Dragon Ball game will be announced in the same window.

A New Dragon Ball Title to Look Forward to for the Franchise’s 40th Anniversary

The confirmation about the new Dragon Ball game project being announced in January 2026 comes from the official Dragon Ball Games account on X (formerly Twitter). At the Dragon Ball Genkida Matsuri event, all the latest content and major new announcements about Dragon Ball titles will be revealed. The voice of Son Goku, Masako Nozawa, will also be making an appearance at the event. Interested readers can tune in to the event through their YouTube livestream.

The Dragon Ball Genkida Matsuri event is scheduled for January 25, 2026. Admission to the event is free, but players must pre-register through this website.

We already have four ongoing Dragon Ball titles — Xenoverse 2, Kakarot, FighterZ, and Sparking Zero — each of which has received some form of Daima DLC recently and is actively receiving updates. Moreover, a free-to-play MOBA title, Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra, has also released for iOS, Android, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Now, the new title that will be announced on Dragon Ball’s 40th Anniversary will be the sixth new title in recent years.

In other news, the content and release window for Dragon Ball Z Kakarot Daima Pack Part 2 have been revealed. Additionally, Minecraft received a surprise Dragon Ball Z DLC recently. • Hopefully no anime just let this rest it’s weird and even more greedy post Toriyama death. Next game I assume is Xenoverse 3. Sparking Zero is missing everyone so many from past games like Tenkaichi 3. SSJ4 from GT should be in the picture. DBS sucks and the manga is so bad.
