Fallout’s first season was a rampant success, pulling in millions of viewers, reigniting a fierce love for the post-apocalyptic games, and allowing Bethesda Game Studios to flex some development power with Fallout 4’s next-gen upgrade.
Now, fans are waiting on the edges of their seats for Fallout Season 2, which is set to drop later this year. It’s an expansion on the story that played out in April 2024, with returning and new characters set to grace the screens in the post-nuclear wasteland of Fallout. When is Fallout Season 2 coming out, though?

When Does Fallout Season 2 Come Out?
Fallout Season 2 will be released on December 17, 2025. The first episode will give us a look at New Vegas, recreated in full, authentic fashion for the award-winning television series.
The first season dropped in April 2024 and gave fans of the franchise a whirlwind tour of a new setting, original story, and fresh characters. It was a phenomenal success, and for a while, player counts across every Fallout game skyrocketed.
That hype has continued, and in December, Fallout 76 will get a new update linked with the Fallout television show, launching alongside the second season.
Will Fallout Season 2 Be Released All At Once?
The second season of Fallout breaks away from the operating model of the first season and offers a once-weekly release pattern. The first episode drops on December 17, and the final episode will arrive on February 4. In total, there are eight episodes in the new season, which is the same format as the first season.
