How to Watch Apex Legends Global Series Year 5 Midseason Playoffs: Format, Dates & Prize Pool

Respawn Entertainment confirmed all of the details for the Apex Legends Global Series Year 5 Midseason Playoffs. Here is everything you need to know about tuning into the event.

On May 4, Team Falcons kicked off Year 5 by winning the first LAN Apex Legends event of the new season and took home $300,000. The victory secured the team a spot in the 2025 Midseason Playoffs, which are scheduled for July 10 through 13 in Riyadh.

Let’s jump right into what to expect for all the fans who want to tune into the event.

Here are the start dates for each day of the event.

  • Pool Play Group 1: Thursday, July 10, 4 PM EST.
  • Pool Play Group 2: Friday, July 11, 6 PM EST
  • Last Chance Semifinals: Saturday, July 12, 6 PM EST
  • Match Point Finals: Sunday, July 13, 6 PM EST

How to Watch ALGS Year 5 Midseason Playoffs

Fans can tune in to the ALGS Year 5 Midseason Playoffs on YouTube or Twitch.

Top Apex Legends streamers like NiceWigg and others will also host watch parties on Twitch. Respawn didn’t reveal which streamers will be watching, so check during the tournament to see if your favorite content creator is participating.

ALGS Year 5 Midseason Playoffs Format

The Midseason Playoffs feature 40 teams in a pool play stage with two groups of 20 teams each. In the pool play stage, each group will compete in a 10-match series, with teams accumulating points each match. The top seven teams from each group move on to the match point finals, teams ranked 8th through 17th move in each group move on to the last chance semi-finals, and the three bottom teams from both are eliminated.

The last-chance semi-finals also feature 10 matches. The six teams with the highest total points advance to the match-point finals, while the other 14 teams are knocked out. In match-point finals, teams compete to reach a 50-point threshold and then get one more win to seal the tournament.

ALGS Year 5 Midseason Playoffs Prize Pool

This event features a $2 million prize pool distributed based on a team’s final placement after four days of action. Players all get an even cut of the prize amount.
