ASUS ROG has taken to the stage at Computex to unveil the fastest TN panel-based monitor ever invented. The ROG Strix ACE XG248 is a phenomenal piece of equipment with a 610Hz refresh rate and a 0.1 ms response time. The term ‘having an edge over the competition’ has just been redefined with this monitor.
It’ll set you back a pretty penny, though. The 24-inch, lightning-fast monitor will bear a price tag of $799 when it’s released in August.
I Am Speed
The ROG Strix ACE XG248QSG is a beautiful thing.
It has been designed specifically for esports-focused gaming, offering players a 610Hz refresh rate over an FHD, flat monitor that produces an input lag speed 56% lower than competing 600Hz monitors.
The sleek unit features ASUS’ ELMB 2 technology to offer a brighter visual palette while reducing motion blur, which is extremely important for those pulse-pounding, reflex-driven esports clutch moments.
The new design of the ROG Strix ACE incorporated a smaller footprint to allow more space for peripherals, even though esports players tend to use smaller keyboards like the G915 X Lightspeed TKL.
On the store page for the ROG Strix ACE XG248, ASUS wrote:
Create the ultimate esports setup with the ROG ACE series—the definitive choice of champions. Designed for esports athletes and those who demand competition-grade performance, the new ROG ACE monitors offer gaming-friendly features, lightning-fast speeds, and unparalleled responsiveness.
It’s not just powerful, but ergonomic. The XG248 has tilt, pivot, and swivel mechanics, plus it’s height adjustable to satisfy any positional requirements on the desk. You’ll have no issues with connectivity, either – the monitor has HDMI 2.1, DP, and USB Type-C, as well as an old-school headphone jack.
