Solary Win EMEA Masters Winter After Seven Year Wait

France-based League of Legends team Solary has completed the double, as the LFL Invitational Champions won EMEA Masters Winter 2026.

Solary has been competing in the LFL since 2019, yet in those seven years this is the first time the organisation has even qualified for EMEA Masters.

Now, Solary is the top EMEA Regional League (ERL) team after defeating fellow LFL competitiors Galions to lift the trophy.

And both Solary and Galions will face LEC teams in the Esports World Cup EMEA Qualifier, which is only the second ever tournament to feature LEC and ERL teams.

Solary Sweep Galions in EMEA Masters Winter 2026 Final

The EMEA Masters Winter final was a rematch of the LFL Invitational final as Galions looked for revenge on Solary.

Yet, the result was the exact same the LFL finals as Solary dominated their opponents in another straight 3-0 sweep.

The third and final game was a 44-minute thriller that went back and forth, but Galions ultimately couldn’t find a way into the series.

Korean support Kim ‘Piero’ Jung-hun has now won the last two EMEA Masters tophies, having won Summer 2025 with Karmine Corp Blue.

However, in the final and most of this tournament, it was French jungler Lanzo ‘Zicssi’ Ciajolo who caught the eye with many phenomenal performances.

No English Broadcast for EMEA Masters

Despite EMEA Masters becoming even more important with the ERLs and LEC starting to cross paths, Riot did not host an English broadcast for the EMEA Masters Winter final.

The final was held on a Tuesday online, with little chance for a lot of fans to even take an interest in the LEC’s new opponents.

Former NLC commentator Jake ‘Hiprain’ Matthews bemoaned the decision on his social page:

“The handling of T2 league this year has been heartbreaking. This tournament is meant to be an important part of our region but over the last few years has been getting less and less coverage.”

Hiprain was let go from the UK and Nordics’ ERL earlier this year, and now the NLC Spring Split has been suspended after its organiser walked away.
