A new Worms game has been wriggling around in the rumor mill for a while, with screenshots and videos being dug up. However, a reputable leaker has now posted the game’s official name and artwork ahead of its expected reveal.
I reported a few weeks back that a new Worms game had possibly leaked, and this was shortly followed up by the alleged first gameplay from the unannounced game.
With Gamescom 2026 right around the corner, a leaker has likely revealed its name and cover art.
New Worms Game Unofficially Revealed
The same leaker—Intercelluar—who broke the Rayman Legends: Retold news shortly before the game was announced and gave us a glimpse at a potential Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced DLC pack is back.
On August 20, they dropped a new post: ‘New Worms game developed by Absolutely Games (Project Arrakis).’

Attached to the post were the game name, ‘Worms Galactic Tactics,’ and its likely cover art.
It’s your standard Worms, happy-go-lucky-yet-sinister art, with cheerful worms and weapons.
The first leaks show that this is an XCOM/Mario & Rabbids-style strategy game. It’s not conventional Worms warfare.
Now, this is absolutely not me saying that it will be announced during Opening Night Live, but it could be interesting timing, to say the least, especially with how Rayman Legends: Retold went.

It remains to be seen when, and if, Worms Galactic Tactics is announced.
