We reported a couple of years ago that a Rayman Legends Remake was in the works at Ubisoft, and it’s one of the projects that’s managed to dodge recent cancelations. A Rayman Legends: Retold logo has appeared online, and we can happily reveal this is real.
The development of the Rayman Legends Remake was bolstered by the former Prince of Persia team. The team has been hard at work on a reimaging of the beloved platformer, and the good news was added to a few months later by our exclusive report about Ubisoft reaffirming that it’s working on ‘The Future of Rayman.’
That future is nearly here.
Rayman Legends: Retold Coming in October 2026
Insider Gaming understands that the reveal of Rayman Legends: Retold, AKA Project Steambot, is expected within the next week and that the game is scheduled to release on October 1, 2026.

The Rayman Legends Retold logo suddenly appeared and began circulating on social media on May 27. Obviously, when something like this appears out of the blue without context, there’s an element of immediate skepticism.
As I said, Insider Gaming has been well aware of the project for a long time, and this is just the inevitable confirmation of it.
There was a fear that it would succumb to the wave of cancelations that took place at the start of 2026, an unfortunate day that included the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake being canceled.
