A reliable insider has revealed what’s included (features) in Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition for the Switch 2.
Last week, players were informed about the release date and price of Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition on the Switch 2; however, there was one thing that left players confused: what they would be receiving in this new edition of the game. Now, all the details have come to light.
Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition Brings All DLC, Gameplay Improvements, and Enhanced Visuals to the Table
A new report by billbil-kun on Dealabs reveals all the features included in Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition. Firstly, players can expect all DLC, updates, and improvements that developers have made to the game since its release. On top of that, players will experience enhanced performance and fidelity on the Switch 2, along with reduced load times, making it a more technically optimized version than the one released on the original Switch.
The developers have yet to officially announce this version for the Switch 2, but players pretty much know what to expect. There’s also a physical release planned for Nintendo’s new console, but it is unclear whether it will come to other platforms. As revealed in the previous report, Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition will release for the Switch 2 on Sonic’s birthday, June 23, 2026, and will cost $49.99 in the United States.
In other news, Sega’s 2021 project, Super Game, has been canceled due to the poor performance of free-to-play titles. Additionally, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 director Jeff Fowler confirmed filming has wrapped and teased the first look at Metal Sonic.
