Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has taken the internet by storm, and for good reason; one of the most beloved Assassin’s Creed titles is getting an official remake, and it doesn’t seem like Ubisoft is stopping there.
We covered the reveal of Black Flag Resynced extensively, and during that coverage, it was uncovered that at least one more Assassin’s Creed remake is in development, and it’s since got fans speculating which one could be next.
What Is The Next Assassin’s Creed Remake?
Whilst it hasn’t been officially confirmed by Ubisoft, another Assassin’s Creed remake is currently in development, with Assassin’s Creed 1 supposedly the focus.
Ubisoft confirmed that they were working on numerous Assassin’s Creed remakes back in 2024, though the titles were originally unknown. Of course, it’s since been revealed that Black Flag was one of them, and it’s looking likely that the original could be next up.

The news comes from xj0nathan on X, who claims that a source told them back in 2023 that Assassin’s Creed 1 was the other remake in development. Of course, things could have changed internally, but the likelihood is that Altair’s story will be revisited.
Are Other Assassin’s Creed Remakes In Development?
As things stand, Insider Gaming understands that at least one other Assassin’s Creed remake is currently in development, though that could change in the near future.
It all seems to depend on how well Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced performs, with high sales potentially encouraging the team to work on more remakes. Judging by the hype surrounding the announcement, it’s reasonable to assume that Black Flag Resynced should be a shoo-in for success.

Should more remakes be greenlit, it’s likely that Ubisoft will continue to focus on earlier titles in the franchise. If Assassin’s Creed 1 is the next to be remade, it’d make sense for them to continue down the mainline entries, though there’s bound to be plenty of fans desperate for a Brotherhood remake.
