According to a new claim, Ubisoft could be working on a remake of the original Assassin’s Creed game.
Ubisoft has begun exploring remakes, with Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced as the first title in this series. Players are now speculating about what might come next. While several games in the franchise are strong contenders, an insider claims to have received information about the next Assassin’s Creed remake.
Assassin’s Creed 1 Remake Might Be On the Way
The Assassin’s Creed YouTube channel and streamer xj0nathan has claimed on X (formerly Twitter) that they heard from a contact in 2023 that “AC1” (Assassin’s Creed 1) could be the next remake. Yves Guillemot confirmed in 2024 that several remakes were in the works, allowing them to modernize and explore the worlds of older Assassin’s Creed titles; however, we weren’t sure which games were being remade.
In the latest episode of Insider Gaming Weekly, it was mentioned that another Assassin’s Creed Remake was in the works, and it was one of the “earlier” games. However, we haven’t been able to confirm which game it is yet.
Talking about remakes, practically every detail about the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag remake had leaked before the official reveal, so there’s a chance that we might know which remake is next once several leaks start popping up. However, Ubisoft has yet to officially confirm which Assassin’s Creed game they plan to remagine next. You also get to play as another favorite character, Desmond Miles, in the present day as he investigates the Animus in Abstergo Industries. The game’s core mechanics, such as eavesdropping, interrogation, pickpocketing, parkour, climbing, stealth, and more, all started from this game.
