Fortnite has addressed what they will offer players who want to refund their d4vd cosmetics.
Popular streamer and singer David Anthony Burke, known professionally as “d4vd,” was recently arrested and is facing charges of first-degree murder. This is obviously not something Fortnite wants its game associated with.
Now, they have responded to players asking what can be done to get refunds for their purchases. d4vd had several Jam Tracks and skins in the game. The locker bundle with all of his related items was released on April 25, 2025.
Fortnite’s Response to Players Wanting d4vd Refunds
On Twitter, the Fortnite Status team replied to ShiinaBR to let everyone know that changes will roll out over time, and that beginning on Tuesday, April 28th, players will be able to get an immediate self-service refund. Players can request refunds via the traditional method and receive them faster.
What Other Charges Are Against d4vd?
d4vd is accused of murdering Celeste Rivas Hernandez, a 14-year-old girl, who was found in the trunk of his car. He’s also been charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14 and mutilation of human remains. On April 23, it was also stated that prosecutors had recovered 40 terabytes of digital evidence that included a “significant amount of child pornography.”
He faces a maximum life sentence without the possibility of parole. According to LA County, he could also face the death penalty.
