Mina the Hollower Complete, Release Date Coming Soon

Mina the Hollower is closer to release as the game is now complete. Yacht Club Games recently provided an update on the title via social media.

Yacht Club Games announced on Twitter that the game is complete. The submission process with first-party partners has begun, and an official release date will be available soon. They promised that as soon as they know a date, players will be made aware.

Mina the Hollower Was Originally Slated for Release in 2025

Mina the Hollower is the follow-up from the makers of Shovel Knight. The game features a Game Boy Color-inspired art style and a soundtrack inspired by the MSX. It was originally slated for release on Halloween 2025. However, on October 6, the decision was made to delay the title to continue working on it and put their best foot forward.

Originally conceived as a side project by Alec Faulkner, the game was funded via a 2022 Kickstarter campaign. With more than 6 years of development, Yacht Club Games calls Mina their most ambitious title and promises 25 bosses and mini-bosses. Additionally, they call this game the most temperature project they’ve ever worked on, noting that it contains more total screens than the entirety of Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove.

The planned release is set for Spring 2026. Insider Gaming will continue to monitor the story and report when there is an official release date. For more on the game, read why the developers at Yacht Club Games believe that this game will decide their fate.

  • Remember these are the Shovel Knight devs so there will be 15 different versions of the game where they’ll delist the previous version and increase the price which is literally just FOMO.
