The RICOCHET Anti-Cheat team provided an update on efforts to prevent cheating in Warzone, including an improvement to the death widget that will make it easier for players to determine any wrongdoing.
In Season 3, Warzone added a detailed death recap that provided more information about how you were eliminated. The feature shares if the enemy had you pinged, if you were revealed on the minimap by a UAV, and shows if firing an unsuppressed weapon exposed your position to nearby enemies.
The information not only helps you determine whether a player should be reported but also improves your gameplay by teaching you what mistakes to avoid next time. Activision expanded upon that feature in Season 3 Reloaded to make it even easier.

The RICOCHET Anti-Cheat team released a blog reviewing the new death widget changes.
- Affected by Heartbeat Sensor: Indicates the enemy detected your position with the Heartbeat Sensor equipment.

- Affected by Resurgence Mark: Indicates your position was revealed by a teammate who died in a Resurgence game mode.
- Affected by Prox Alarm: Indicates your position was revealed by a Prox Alarm Tactical equipment.
- Affected by Most Wanted Target: Indicates your position was revealed by opting-in to the Most Wanted Contract.
Knowing these key details will also make understanding why you were killed easier.
In addition to the new additions, Activision announced that 150 cheat resellers have been shut down or rendered their software ineffective. It was also revealed that, on average, new accounts are banned within four matches when they cheat.
The devs also previewed new replay technology that examines clips to determine if cheaters are moving faster than humanly possible. Cheating will always be controversial, but this is a concerted effort to mitigate it.
In other gaming news, The Precinct launches soon, there is an open beta for Rematch later this month, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake is coming to Switch 2.

Doesn’t work. Had one say ‘prox alarm’ but dude was obviously using wall hack… he had me in his sights for about ten seconds as I was sprinting on the other side of a wall. Painfully obvious. To add to the cheating woes the crossplay on/off is bugged bigtime. This has been a sh¡t show from day one. Last COD game I buy. It has run it’s course. The hackers have won.
