The Precinct is set in 1983 in the fictional East Coast city of Averno City. The story follows rookie police officer Nick Cordell Jr. as he tries to uncover the truth of how his father was murdered while in the line of duty. Fallen Tree Games’ latest project is a top-down adventure game combining police sim elements and a sandbox open world.
While serving in the force, players can expect to pursue criminals in car and helicopter chases, and can call squad cars, roadblocks, spike strips, and more for assistance. In addition, you can expect gunfights as you investigate gangs that rule the city.
Can You Play The Precinct on PS5?

Yes, you can play the Precinct on PS5.
Fallen Tree Games did not specify if the game would be optimized for PS5 Pro, but PlayStation players can download it digitally when it is officially released. The development team also did not reveal a price or if there would be any other editions.
Sony did not mention whether the game would be available on PlayStation Plus Premium or Extra, but based on the PlayStation store listing, it doesn’t appear that it will be.
Can You Play The Precinct on Xbox Series X|S?
The Precinct is also available on Xbox Series X|S.
It was confirmed on the Microsoft Store that The Precinct has been optimized for Xbox Series X|S. However, Microsoft did not share what sort of optimization that entails. Additionally, the title was not listed as an option for Game Pass subscribers and wasn’t included in the Wave 1 titles for May, so don’t expect to see it on Xbox Game Pass.
Can You Play The Precinct on PC?
PC users can also play The Precinct through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
It is currently unknown if you can play the game on the Steam Deck. In saying that, we do know that the game features full controller support, meaning you can use Xbox or PlayStation controllers.
The developers recommend playing this game with a controller, as it will be much easier to steer the helicopters and cars with a joystick.
