Star Wars headlines the next batch of IPs coming to the Unreal Editor for Fortnite, allowing creators to utilize fan-favorite characters in their own created experiences.
UEFN gives fans the tools to create custom game modes within Fortnite, with licensed IPs adding to the immersion by bringing recognized characters, weapons, and elements from well-known franchises into the game.
Now, on the back of the Star Wars-themed Galactic Battle season, Star Wars assets are coming to UEFN, it was announced during the State of Unreal showcase, and it’s not just characters from a galaxy far, far away joining the fray.
Squid Game, the hit Netflix series, is also arriving in UEFN later this month, bringing environment assets, NPCs, and disguise devices into the hands of creators from June 27, with the created games published later this year.
Avatar: The Last Airbender Arrives in 2026
Avatar: The Last Airbender is also joining the UEFN family in 2026, with tools and devices set to be available. This likely includes assets used in Battle Royale last year, which included Mythic items themed around the franchise.
These additions to UEFN open the door to new experiences within the Fortnite ecosphere, and it comes at the right time, fresh off the back of a creator-made experience, Super Red vs Blue, boasting more concurrent players than Epic Games’ own modes over the weekend.
UEFN already boasts an impressive roster with LEGO, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and The Walking Dead featuring, though the options are set to expand even further with the latest trio of additions.
The State of Unreal Showcase also confirmed that the first Battle Royale season built in UEFN has endured a slight delay, with the target now pushed back to 2026. Previously, the plan was for a first release this year.
