Where to Find Red Crystal Fragments & How to Use Them in Pokémon Pokopia

Pokémon Pokopia continues to bring fresh content into the fray, and the second limited-time event introducing new Pokémon and items to the gam has begun with Sableye’s Gem Hunt, putting Red Crystal Fragments on your harvesting list.

Sableye’s Gem Hunt event in Pokopia kicks off on April 29 and runs through to May 14, arriving as the second major post-launch limited-time event following the arrival of Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff.

If you want to know exactly where to find Red Crystal Fragments and what they are used for, Insider Gaming has all the details.

Red Crystal Fragments are found exclusively on Dream Islands in Pokémon Pokopia, which restricts the amount you can get in a single grind.

Red Crystal Fragments are located inside underground caves in Dream Islands in Pokopia, across all varieties of islands, and destroying a Red Crystal outcrop provides four Fragments at a time. There’s no way to increase the amount per outcrop, with four being the guaranteed amount.

The number of deposits on a Dream Island is restricted, with each trip providing around 20-28 total Red Crystal Fragments. As the Dream Island is available once daily, it restricts the number you can get at a time.

However, time-skipping in Pokopia is easy to do and you can secure an almost-infinite amount by adopting this method, though the reality is it’s not required, as there’s plenty of time in the event to get everything available.

How to Use Red Crystal Fragments in Pokémon Pokopia

Red Crystal Fragments are used as a currency to exchange with Sableye during the Sableye’s Gem Hunt event, in a similar approach to the Cotton Spores given to Hoppip previously.

After collecting Red Crystal Fragments, head inside any reconstructed Pokémon Center to find Sableye running a store during the event period, offering limited-time items.

All of the available items during the Sableye’s Gem Hunt event are merely cosmetic, though some are required to make Sableye a Habitat to live in, and while they’re only available for a limited time in the shop, you can take photos of them and use the 3D printer to replicate the items at any time.

The table below details all of the available items to exchange Red Crystal Fragments for in the Sableye’s Gem Hunt event in Pokopia, and how many are required.
