A whole bunch of XBOX Elite Series 3 wireless controller details have appeared in the design lab backend, revealing new features, design options, and more.
A couple of months ago, we saw an image of the XBOX Elite Series 3 controller leak online, featuring an interchangeable D-pad, back paddles, and two new mystery buttons. Official channels haven’t revealed much about the controller yet; however, we now have a slew of new details to look over, with some interesting new features.

A post on r/GamingLeaksAndRumors discusses several leaked features from the Xbox Design Lab backend. The user revealed that the Xbox Elite Series 3 has been codenamed “Edessa” and is associated with an accessory/customization product called “Beatrice.” They discovered 16 3D component models related to this product on the Design Lab backend. Here’s what they found.
The upcoming controller is expected to feature Hall-effect and TMR sticks, with separate module options for standard, loose, and tight Hall-effect settings. It may also include magnetic sensing technology with stick resistance. Additionally, the controller is likely to have advanced haptic feedback, as indicated by the motor options: “Impulse Triggers (ERMs) & Advanced Haptics (VCAs) Motors.”

The Xbox Elite Series 3 controller may include a dedicated Audio Scroll Wheel, as indicated by one of the settings. Additionally, there is an option for a silent stick neck, along with standard and long versions. Players will have more paddle design options available, including standard, classic, and double-wide paddles. The backend also mentions features such as “short/long paddles, a Butterfly entry, and layouts that do not include top paddles.”
Players who get the XBOX Elite Series 3 can choose from various performance D-pad options, including standard, cross, and grippy/faceted designs. The controller also offers 27 different mapped topper and paddle configurations. Faceplate options range from metal finishes to named designs, extensive colors, and engraving.
Additionally, there are four different SKUs (stock keeping units) for the controller. Two are for the “Elite Complete” version: one includes motors, while the other does not. There are also two “Base” SKUs, which mirror the previous options: one with motors and one without.
