The Steam Controller has been on the market for only a day, but it quickly sold out at every retailer.
The response has been so strong that Valve made a post on social media stating that it’s “working on getting more in stock and will have an update on expected timeline soon.” But because of the high demand for the controller, that means that some people are looking to take advantage of those who want one to actually use.
A visit to the auction site eBay shows people listing the Steam Controller for double, and sometimes triple, the $99 retail price.
Some have opened up bidding, with bids starting at $110. Others, have listed “Buy It Now” prices of $299.99 and even $399.99. But don’t worry, they do say “or best offer”, so you can try and get it for less.

Again, Valve says they’re working on getting more controllers in stoke, though a timetable isn’t currently known. Still, you’re better off just waiting a little while longer rather than pay two, three, or even four times the cost for the controller.
