Xbox Elite 3 Controller Revealed Through Image Leaks

Yet another new Xbox controller has been revealed through image leaks. Just hours after images of a new Xbox controller based on cloud gaming were leaked, new images of an updated Xbox Elite controller have surfaced.

Also shared in a leak from Tecnoblog, the successor to the Elite 2 controller features numerous updates. Among those are an interchangeable D-pad, back paddles, and two new mystery buttons. Also, there are new scroll wheels at the bottom. These wheels may be related to controller adjustments or could perhaps provide a new input method for certain games.

Leaked Xbox Elite 3 Controller Will Also Feature Cloud Mode

This new controller will also have a pair button that will allow players to switch between local play and cloud gaming, connecting directly to Xbox cloud gaming servers when in the proper mode. Like the previously leaked Cloud Controller, latency should improve when streaming games in Cloud mode. Additionally, Microsoft appears to be equipping this controller with a removable rechargeable battery out of the box.

At this time, it’s not clear when these new controllers are planned for release. Insider Gaming will continue to monitor the story and report any updates as more information becomes available.
