Players can sign up now for the State of Decay 3 beta playtest and join the waitlist when it goes live.
Xbox underwent major reorganization last month, and during the process, State of Decay 3 developer Undead Labs became independent. It’s good to know that development for their title will stay on track even after this situation, and players will be able to get a first taste of how it’s shaping up pretty soon.
State of Decay 3 Beta Playtest Coming to PC First
In a new message on State of Decay 3’s official Discord, the developers confirmed that a beta playtest for the title is on the way. The developers said they just need to make a few final tweaks to the beta build and should announce the exact timing of the playtest in the coming days. The team also revealed that, as the Alpha playtest, the first round of the beta playtest will be available on PC only, with PlayStation and XBOX consoles getting access later. State of Decay 3 puts players in a world where the zombie apocalypse has nearly wiped out humankind, years after the initial outbreak. Players assume the role of a community of survivors, building settlements with friends and pushing back against a brand-new threat. The upcoming beta playtest will let players get firsthand experience with the new mechanics and systems the developers added for the latest installment in the series.
