Star Wars: Galactic Racer has burst onto the scene as one of the all-time great games in a galaxy far, far away, and it’s been revealed that one multiplayer frustration is set to be solved.
The Fuse Games title launches today, October 6, and already boasts the claim of being the highest-rated Star Wars title of all time on Metacritic, raising excitement levels for Galactic Racer even further.
Galactic Racer To Double Multiplayer Party Limits
One frustration ahead of launch, however, was the limit of friend lobbies in the game being set to three, potentially causing issues for those looking to group up for online races, but changes are on the horizon.
Responding to a comment on X, the Galactic Racer devs revealed the team is “already working” on an update that would double the current three-player party limit to six, and a release is targeted “within the first few weeks of launch.”
That would mean up to half of a multiplayer lobby can be filled with friends and invited racers, allowing you greater freedom to craft your on-track rivalries and more opportunities to fight for bragging rights.

At this stage, however, there’s no news on private lobbies in Star Wars: Galactic Racer, but it’s already clear that the Fuse Games team are listening to player feedback and is preparing to support the game post-launch with additional content and updates.
That means there’s still hope for private multiplayer lobbies in the future, but in the meantime, the update to the maximum number of players invited into a lobby is a solid change.
