Battlestate Games has taken Escape from Tarkov offline to deploy Patch 1.0.6.0, a relatively minor patch that includes the arrival of the all-new Expansions Hub. This is the new digital storefront that can be accessed using ‘Tarcoins’, but that’s a discussion for another day.
As with all Escape from Tarkov updates, the game has been pulled down in its entirety, blocking both PvP and PvE players from accessing it for several hours. Read on to learn when Escape from Tarkov is coming back online today following the 1.0.6.0 update.
When is Tarkov Back Online?
Battlestate Games has advised players that the 1.0.6.0 update will take around four to six hours to deploy, and it started rolling out the update at 8 AM BST / 3 AM EDT.
This means that Escape from Tarkov should be online by the following times today:
- Midday – 2 PM BST
- 8 AM – 10 AM EDT
- 4 AM – 6 AM PDT
- 1 PM – 3 PM CEST
As always, the team has advised that the maintenance window could be extended if needed, which is typical for Escape from Tarkov updates. Nikita Buyanov, the head of the studio at BSG, already advised that there were some issues with the update that surfaced in the hours before the game was taken down, so expect it to perhaps last longer than intended.
Escape from Tarkov 1.0.6.0 Patch Explained
Here are the notes we have for the 1.0.6.0 Patch in Escape from Tarkov, which were incomplete at the time of writing:
Quality of Life:
- Added the ability to search for tasks by name on the side task and operational task screens. Search now works by task name, objective, location, and Trader.
Fixes:
- Fixed an issue that caused weapons to overheat too quickly on Streets of Tarkov in certain cases
- Fixed an issue where weapons could remain suspended in midair after a player’s death in certain cases
- Fixed the incorrect female voice audio in The Lab
- Fixed the incorrect audio for certain gunshots at medium range
- Fixed several incorrect UI elements on the Character and Weapon Builds screens
- Fixed an incorrect animation for the MSGL grenade launcher’s cylinder in certain cases
This update also heralds the arrival of the Expansion Hub, a new digital interface in Escape from Tarkov that allows users to grind to rack up ‘Tarcoins’, which they can then use to buy things that would otherwise cost real money. This includes cosmetics, stash expansions, and more.
