Lies of P Director Says Next Game Will Not ‘Disappoint’ Players

The Lies of P director recently commented on their next game, stating that he will not ‘disappoint’ players.

The developer of Lies of P released their Overture DLC this year, which was well received by players and critics alike. So much so that the DLC ended up winning the Best Game Expansion award at the Golden Joysticks Awards 2025. During the award show, the director commented on the next title they are working on.

Lies of P Director’s Next Game Will Feature the ‘Most Fun That We Can Achieve Within the Game’

During an interview with GamesRadar+, Lies of P director Choi Ji-won spoke about the next title after winning the Best Game Expansion award at the Golden Joystick Awards 2025. Choi Ji-won first talked about the Overture DLC, saying it wasn’t viewed as just a “pure expansion”; it was “almost as a sequel and a brand new project.”

The Lies of P director then addressed the upcoming title, stating that players “can expect the most fun that we can achieve within the game.” Players should stay tuned for the next game as co-developers Round8 and Neowiz are working really hard and will not disappoint players at all. The director didn’t reveal which game he was talking about, whether it was the Lies of P sequel or some other game altogether.

In other news, the Lies of P base game and the Overture DLC have cumulatively sold over 3 million copies. Additionally, last year’s job listing hinted that the sequel could be an open-world title.
