Skate Season 2 Will Introduce a Co-Op Mode, New Areas to Skate and More

Skate’s season 2 is all set to arrive on December 2, 2025, introducing a new co-op mode, new skateable areas, and more.

EA’s Skate has gone a little under the radar since its launch; however, it seems the developers have a jam-packed Season 2 planned to bring players back to the game. The new season will run until March 3, 2026, allowing players to access new skateable areas, challenges, seasonal events, tricks, cosmetics, features, game modes, and so much more.

Skate Season 2 Co-Op Mode and New Skateable Areas

Season 2 of Skate, called Future Radical, takes players back to the 80s. The theme is neon lights, arcade machines, and punk vs. pop, and they want players to experience this decade with their friends, which brings us to the arrival of co-op mode and Party Voice Chat. The developers have also brought new areas for players to experience with their friends, including the Casper Hotel Rooftop, Eelside Tunnel, Museum of Natural History Roof Patio, and Canal Building.

Skate Season 2 New Features, Improvements, Modes, and Rewards

There’s a lot more to look forward to with Season 2, such as the second World visual pass, the first Character pass, and Pedestrian improvements. The game will also receive three new hairstyles and two new facial hair options, along with an expansion to ‘what-to-do’ in San Van by adding new Challenges and Missions.

The new game mode for Skate, Own the Lot, is inspired by a classic in the series. This game mode will have players complete as many Reqs as possible within a set time limit. Players will have to collaborate and communicate with their party to knock out all the Reqs, as this mode is all about teaming up and taking on shared challenges.

Players will have to battle in groups of 1-4, but you definitely need at least two players to complete as many Reqs as they can within the time limit of 2-5 minutes. The rewards you can claim from this mode are as follows:

  • Nailed It: Complete five or more Reqs – Reward: 20 Tix
  • Owned It: Complete 10 or more Reqs – Reward: 30 Tix
  • Crushed It: Complete 15 or more Reqs – Reward: 40 Tix
  • Killed It: Complete 25 or more Reqs – Reward: 55 Tix
  • Shut it Down: Complete 40 or more Reqs – Reward: 70 Tix

Replay Editor Improvements, New Settings, and Gameplay Improvements

The Replay Editor has received an Advanced Editor Mode, which introduces enhanced trimming, keyframes, interpolating between camera types & camera targets, and framing options like roll, tilt, and offset. More Replay Editor upgrades are on the way as well. The new season will also bring new settings and gameplay improvements that you can check out below:

  • Compass on HUD:  You can now hide the Compass by going to Settings > General > Interface
