Beyond & Good Evil 2 Still Advertising New Job Roles After 17 Years

2008 is when Beyond Good & Evil 2 was first announced. The first game is still heralded as an underrated gem, and the sequel’s development time is the stuff of legend at this point. Questions keep being raised about the game’s existence, and new Ubisoft job listings suggest Beyond Good & Evil 2 is the plan.

Duke Nukem Forever currently holds the record for the time that longest time spent in development until launch at 14 years. Beyond Good & Evil 2 is well past this, and if it launches, it obliterates the feat.

The never-ending question is ‘if‘.

Hitmarker shows that Ubisoft is currently on the hunt for a Technical Sound Designer to work on Beyond Good & Evil 2.

Here’s the job description:

“Beyond Good & Evil 2 is an action-adventure open world game set in a captivating space opera universe and the direct prequel to the 2003 cult classic. Based on a breakthrough technology driven by the proprietary Voyager engine, Beyond Good & Evil 2 aims to offer a seamless experience of exploration and space piracy across a solar system full of exotic locations, colorful characters and mysteries to uncover, solo or with friends. So, if you are ready for an adventure like no other, come join forces with us to build System 3!”

The role is looking for someone with over 5 years of professional experience. It’s based in Montpellier, France, and the role is looking for the right candidate to create audio assets, propose audio designs, and generally oversee all aspects of audio.

It’s a very new role, meaning the company is still hard at work on the game. Add this to the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake, and rumored Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake, and Ubisoft has a lot on its plate!

Do you think Beyond Good & Evil 2 will actually happen? Does it simply have to at this point? Share your thoughts and bits on Beyond Good & Evil through the free Insider Gaming Discord Server.
