Stellar Blade Dev’s Upcoming Title Will be Published by Tencent

Stellar Blade devs Shift Up, and Tencent’s global publishing brand Level Infinite have signed a publishing agreement for the developers’ upcoming title, Project Spirits.

We have been hearing a lot of new updates about Stellar Blade lately, with the original title becoming the “best-selling PlayStation-exclusive launch IP in history‘ for PC. Moreover, the sequel has plans to go multiplatform. Now, new details about Shift Up’s other cross-platform title, Project Spirits, have been revealed.

Shift Up and Level Infinite Sign New Partnership to Publish Project Spirits

Revealed through a new post on Level Infinite’s website, this is the second global partnership between the company and Shift Up, with the first being Goddess of Victory, Nikke. The new publishing agreement has “further strengthened their strategic partnership to include both publishing and joint development.” Level Infinite has published games like PUBG MOBILE and Honor of Kings, and was also a collaborative partner for titles like Dune: Awakening from Funcom, Warhammer 40K: Darktide, and more.

For those wondering about Shift Up’s upcoming title, Project Spirits, it is a cross-platform title, being developed for PC, consoles, and mobile. It is an Unreal Engine 5 game that is being co-developed by Stellar Blade devs and Tencent’s affiliate, Yongxing Interactive, which “consists of senior members from leading game companies specializing in ACG games.”

In other news, Tencent recently responded to Sony’s Horizon clone lawsuit, stating, “fame does not create a trademark,” after Sony filed for an injunction to bar the company from using any resemblance to Aloy.
