Remedy Entertainment announced a technical test for FBC: Firebreak. Here is everything you need to know about how to sign up, the dates, available platforms, and whether there will be cross-play.
FBC: Firebreak is an upcoming three-player co-op FPS game that challenges you and your friends to stop an outbreak on the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC) before it’s too late. Players have a vast collection of weapons to take down an assortment of deadly foes, including a Gatling gun that shoots slime, a gnome RPG, and a lightning gun that thrusts you into the air.
Fans won’t have to wait much longer to get their hands on the game, as Remedy Entertainment announced a June 17 release date. It was also confirmed that PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will get access on day one. If you want to try the game early, though, there is an opportunity to do so.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to sign up for the playtest.
- Go to the FBC: Firebreak website.
- Enter your email.
- Use the confirmation code to complete the sign-up process.
FBC: Firebreak Technical Test Dates & Start Times
The closed Technical Test of FBC: Firebreak runs from May 15th, 6 AM PDT / 9 AM EDT / 2 PM BST / 4 PM EST until May 19th, 1:59 PM PDT / 4:59 PM EDT / 9:59 PM BST / 11:59 PM EST.
The technical test is designed to test matchmaking and balancing, but the devs did not provide any information about what to expect from gameplay or how much access there will be.
Available Platforms & Crossplay Support
The FBC: Firebreak Technical Test is available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Crossplay is supported in the FBC: Firebreak test, meaning players on any platform can go take on the outbreak together.
Remedy Entertainment warned players, “Due to the limited capacity of this Closed Technical Test, a sign-up does not guarantee access. If you’re selected, you will receive a key for the platform of your choice at that time, pending availability.”
Make sure your friends sign up as soon as possible so you can all play together.
