Blizzard announced a crossover with Street Fighter. Here is everything you need to know about the event release date and all the skins.
Since the game first launched, Overwatch 2 has had plenty of surprise collaborations, such as One Punch Man, Avatar: The Last Airbender, My Hero Academia, and Transformers.
And, the leaks turned out to be true about the latest one. Following a collaboration with Gundam Wing, Street Fighter is next. And this isn’t the first time the iconic fighting series has appeared in another game. Fortnite has added several skins, and Monster Hunter also did an anniversary program. Let’s see what Blizzard has up its sleeve for OW2’s take on a crossover.
OW2 & Street Fighter Crossover Release Date

The Overwatch 2 and Street Fighter collab goes live on May 20.
Blizzard did not reveal if all eight skins will launch on the same day or if the skin release dates will be staggered. All four skins launched on the same day for the Gundam event, so we expect this crossover to follow a similar format.
The crossover goes live just before Street Fighter 6 introduces a new character on June 5, so if you haven’t played the fighting game in a while, now is the perfect time to get back into it.
All Street Fighter Skins in OW2
Here is a list of every character getting a Street Fighter skin.
- Hanzo as Ryu
- Juno as Chun-Li
- Kiriko as Juri
- Sigma as M. Bison
- Soldier:76 as Guile
- Widowmaker as Cammy
- Winston as Blanka
- Zenyatta as Dhalsim
Blizzard released a trailer that revealed all of the skins coming. Like most Kiriko skins, we expect the Juri skin to be one of the most popular, but every cosplay looks excellent.
For the Gundam collab, players could purchase a Mega Bundle that included all four skins, name cards, highlight intros, victory poses, and voice lines for 5,900 Overwatch Coins, equivalent to around $55.
Since there are eight skins, it’s unclear if there will be a Mega Bundle. Individual hero skin bundles cost 2,800 Overwatch Coins, equivalent to $30.
None of the Gundam skins were free, but Blizzard has released skins from collaborations for free that can be unlocked by completing challenges.
In other gaming news, Activision wants to take down the Cronus Zen manufacturer, Xbox Game Pass didn’t help Call of Duty’s player count, and Fallout Season 2 has officially wrapped production.
