FBC: Firebreak is an upcoming three-player co-op FPS game that challenges you and your friends to mow down mobs of odd enemies while using even stranger weapons.
Remedy Entertainment has established itself as one of the top developers. The studio’s most recent project, Alan Wake 2, went on to win Best Game Direction, Best Narrative, and Best Art Direction at the 2023 Game Awards.
And it took two years, but Alan Wake 2 eventually surpassed two million copies sold, making the title profitable. In 2024, the studio decided to cancel Project Kestrel to focus on other games, such as Control 2, and a remake compilation for both Max Payne games. This also includes FBC: Firebreak, which was first revealed in October 2024.
FBC: Firebreak Confirms Official Release Date

FBC: Firebreak officially launches on June 17 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and will also be available for PC players via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Remedy Entertainment also confirmed that FBC: Firebreak will be available on day one for PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. Additionally, it will be available on day one for all PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members.
At the Future Games Show in March, the devs released the first gameplay trailer for FBC: Firebreak. In the two minutes of action, we learn that the goal is to remove sticky notes from the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC) before it’s too late.
It’s up to you and your friends to deal with the outbreak and battle an assortment of deadly foes along the way. The game features a vast collection of unique weapons, like a gatling gun that shoots slime, a gnome RPG, and a lightning gun that thrusts you into the air.
Fans won’t have to wait much longer to get their hands on the game, and it should be easier to convince friends to pick it up as well, since it’s available on Game Pass and PlayStation Plus.
