Inventory sizes in survival games are always a nuisance; there’s so much stuff to collect and gather, and only so much space to store it all in your pockets. The same can be said for Subnautica 2, especially since resources don’t stack together.
However, there is a way to increase your inventory size, and it can be done far more than once. There’s a strong chance you missed how to do it, as it’s never outright introduced as a mechanic, with Subnautica 2 expecting you to figure it out for yourself.
But don’t worry, that’s where we come in. With that in mind, here’s how to increase your inventory size in Subnautica 2.
How To Increase Inventory Size In Subnautica 2

In order to increase your inventory size in Subnautica 2, you need to interact with active Biobeds found throughout the world.
All you have to do is approach the Biobed and use the small tablet screen near the front. This will upgrade your endurance, and thus improve your inventory space, with each upgrade offering an extra three slots.

Your best bet at finding them is inside the numerous Colonist Bunkers. It can be quite easy to miss the Biobed, especially since these little hideaways are great locations to find new items to scan with your Scanner, typically unlocking a variety of new Tools and objects.
How Many Times Can You Upgrade Your Inventory?
At the time of writing, I’ve yet to reach the definitive end of Subnautica 2’s early access content, but as things stand, I’ve upgraded my inventory four times.
There could well be more Biobeds for me to discover out there, but I haven’t found a new one in a short while, and it’s looking increasingly likely that I won’t. I’d tentatively say there’s upwards of five upgrades available, mainly because there are three more slots left to fill for my inventory to satisfyingly fill up the available space.

Still, the game does remain in early access, and as more content and new areas are revealed, there’s every possibility that more Biobeds are introduced, with more upgrades out there to find. Or, game updates could roll out, adjusting the inventory size altogether—who knows!
