GTA 6 PC Release Scheduled For Q1 2027, It’s Claimed

The PC release of Grand Theft Auto 6 may be closer than many fans anticipated, with a new report suggesting that the highly anticipated port is targeting a launch in the first quarter of 2027.

If accurate, this would mean PC players could get their hands on GTA 6 by the end of March 2027. The report cites four industry sources familiar with Rockstar’s plans, all of whom have chosen to remain anonymous.

GTA 6 Could Arrive On PC By March 2027

Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026. However, Rockstar Games has yet to officially announce when the game will make its way to PC, leaving players on the platform waiting for confirmation.

Thankfully, the latest report from GamesBeat suggests that the wait may not be as long as some fans feared, with a first-quarter 2027 release seeing GTA 6 arrive on PC just a few months after its console debut. That said, Rockstar has yet to confirm the reported timeframe and did not respond to a request for comment before GamesBeat published its report.

Compared to Grand Theft Auto 5, this would be a considerably faster turnaround for PC players. The fifth instalment took more than 18 months to make the jump from consoles to PC, leaving fans on the platform waiting well over a year before they could experience the game for themselves.

If the reported release window proves accurate, GTA 6 could significantly reduce that gap, potentially changing how many players approach purchasing the game. Those with access to both a PC and a current-generation console may choose to wait for the PC version rather than pick up the game on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S at launch.

There’s also the question of whether the PC release could coincide with the reveal or launch of GTA 6 Online, although that’s purely speculation. Rockstar could have separate plans for the online component, and until the studio shares more details, we’ll have to wait and see how it intends to roll out the various versions of the game.
