New details about XBOX’s Streak system have surfaced online, and it appears on your dashboard.
XBOX is known to test several features with a group of Insiders before the feature is released to everyone. We have seen this in the past with the digital disc entitlements, new console features, ad-based cloud gaming tier, and more. Now, a new system is being tested that focuses on player engagement with their consoles.
XBOX Players Get a Streak for Playing 3 Days a Week
Details about Xbox’s Streak system come from a new GameFile report. Stephen Totilo is part of the Insider program at the ‘Delta’ level and got a first-hand look at the feature. The Streak counter appeared first this week for the player when they were playing, with a system message revealing that players need to play XBOX three days a week to maintain a Streak. The Streak appears as a number along with a flame icon next to the player’s Gamerscore.

The report also talks about the repeated occurrences of the Streak alert, which was keeping track of how many times the player had played on their console. Moreover, the alert didn’t appear until the player had played for a few minutes. After the three days are complete, players are told to play for 3 days again the next week to keep the Streak alive. However, some features of the new system are still not known, and players will have to wait for an official announcement for more details.
