According to a new report, GreedFall Studio, Spiders, will be closing soon, as it has been unable to find a buyer.
Three Nacon Studios had filed for insolvency last month: Spiders, Kylotonn, and Cyanide. The studios had 18 months to propose a plan to restructure their debts and recover the business. However, it seems that Spiders has failed to do so and will move towards liquidation, announcing its closure soon.
Spiders Studio Will Reportedly Proceed Towards Liquidation
A report from Origami (via Wario64) indicates that Spiders, the studio known for titles such as GreedFall and Steelrising, is set to close soon. They were unable to find a buyer, and the court-appointed administrator overseeing Nacon’s restructuring will file a request for liquidation this Wednesday.
It has been reported that the staff is currently reflecting on the studio’s final moments, as Spiders may be required to implement layoffs within 15 days of the court’s ruling. Before filing for insolvency, Spiders was developing a project called Dark; however, that project was canceled in 2025. The team was also engaged in the production and pitching process for GreedFall 2’s future.
We do not know what will happen to the GreedFall series or the other franchises under Spiders’ belt. Additionally, no official announcement has been made yet about the studio’s impending closure, so readers should take this information with a grain of salt.
In other news, Ivy Road, the developers behind the 2025 hit Wanderstop, shut down in March 2026. Additionally, here’s every PlayStation Studio that has closed since PS5’s launch.
