Wanderstop Developer Ivy Road Closing Down

Ivy Road, the developers behind the 2025 hit Wanderstop, will sadly be closing their doors on the last day of March 2026. They released only one title, but the game was well received by players and critics alike.

In the statement on their website, they explained that they were working on a second project that they were very excited about, a title called “Engine Angel,” but ultimately, funding was unable to be secured, and the studio had to close down.

“It’s hard to put into words how thankful we are to have been able to work together on Wanderstop – this is an incredible group of people! And while we had a new project, Engine Angel, that we were excited about, unfortunately, the funding didn’t come to fruition, and the studio had to shut down,” the statement reads.

The Future of Wanderstop and a Final Surprise

The studio has ensured that Wanderstop will continue to be playable and purchasable on the platforms where it’s currently available. There’s also one last surprise in the works for the game in order to help it find new players. Ivy Road said that the publisher of the title, Annapurna Interactive, would share more news in the future.

They have also announced that a chapter-select code is available in the game for those who just want to experience a specific moment one more time.

“While in the Title Screen, using the D-pad, input: UP, LEFT, DOWN, RIGHT, UP, B (RMB), UP, RIGHT, DOWN, LEFT, UP, B (RMB), UP, DOWN, UP.”
