There are plenty of games coming to PS5 in 2023 (and beyond), but we’ve singled out ten of the best titles that you need to keep an eye on in the coming months.

Resident Evil 4 Remake (March 24th)

For years, the Resident Evil franchise has been undergoing an overhaul, with almost every major title from the series’ near-thirty-year history being remade. On March 24th, the Resident Evil 4 Remake will drop, and it is expected to be a blockbuster revisiting of one of the franchise’s most popular titles.

Dead Island 2 (April 21st)

Dead Island 2 is one of the most long-awaited games releasing on PlayStation 5 in 2023, having been in development for more than a decade. Its predecessor, Dead Island Riptide, launched in 2013, and since then, nothing in the franchise has been seen. Dead Island 2 promises to be insanely violent, entertaining, and a welcome return to the series.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (April 28th)

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the immediate follow-on to 2019’s Fallen Order, which introduced Cal Kestis to the Star Wars universe. As an addition to a fantastic series with jaw-dropping graphics and extremely entertaining combat, Survivor is expected to top the charts when it releases in April.

Street Fighter 6 (June 2nd)

The next iteration in the beloved Street Fighter saga drops June 2nd, and fans of the fighting franchise are wholeheartedly excited. CapCom seems as equally as excited, too, with the publisher planning crossover events with other major franchises moving forward. The first cross-over event will be Exo Primal X Street Fighter 6. There’s a new Tekken game on the horizon as well, but for the most part, Street Fighter 6 is the one that fans are more eager to receive.

Diablo 4 (June 6th)

Diablo 4 has been in the works for years, and it’ll finally release on PlayStation 5 on June 6th. Since an all-new gameplay trailer dropped at The Game Awards in 2022, and subsequent beta phases launched in March, fans have been abuzz with excitement. Its Server Slam BETA events even broke on occasion, but with long-requested features including in-depth character creation, it’s clear that Diablo 4 will be a tremendous success.

Final Fantasy 16 (June 22nd)

It is a massively busy month in terms of games releasing on PlayStation 5 in June. One of the last games of the period to drop will be Final Fantasy 16, the latest iteration in the far-stretching Final Fantasy series. It’s a timed release for the PlayStation 5, and fans will absolutely love soaking up that fact. Unfortunately though, if you’re from Saudi Arabia, you won’t be able to play.

Baldur’s Gate 3 (August 31st)

Baldur’s Gate 3 is one of those wondrous releases that nobody believes will ever happen. It has been more than twenty years since the last full Baldur’s Gate release, and almost twenty-five years since the series began. However, following years of development, Baldur’s Gate 3 is expected to launch on PS5 on August 31st, 2023. The latest news suggests that you won’t be able to preload the game though, despite a massive 122GB download.

Spider-Man 2 (Fall 2023)

At the time of writing, Spider-Man 2 is one of the most highly anticipated games releasing on PlayStation 5 in 2023. It has been touted for such a long time – more or less since 2018’s Spider-Man was released on PlayStation 4, and fans are eagerly awaiting a confirmed release date for the superhero epic.

The game has already been rated T for teen and will feature a map twice the size of the original game. Want to give the game a purchase? The collectors edition is avaialble for $229.99 if you want to go all out.

The Day Before (November 10th)

The Day Before is an ill-fated title, but if it turns out to be real, it’ll be one of the biggest games releasing on PlayStation 5 in 2023. For years, The Day Before has been floating around, emerging as a title that looks like a crossover between The Last of Us and The Division, but nobody really believes it’s real.

Assassin’s Creed: Mirage (TBC 2023)

It has been reported that Assassin’s Creed: Mirage is a return to form for the franchise, moving away from the fantastical, RPG-powered titles that have existed since 2017 and going back to basics. It looks fantastic, and it’s a real return to the game’s roots – and it’s expected to drop towards the very end of 2023.
