Epic Games CEO Urges Players Not To ‘Give Up’ On Fall Guys

Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney has urged players not to give up on Fall Guys, stating that a “huge retooling” is underway that will “make new things possible.”

Fall Guys was a breakout hit during the pandemic but has whittled away since, with a lack of significant upgrades, and even porting the title over to Fortnite has not provided a catalyst for resurgence.

However, Sweeney has urged players not to give up hope on the title, indicating that significant changes are underway.

Don’t Give Up on Fall Guys

Responding on X to a suggestion that Disney has purchased Mediatonic from Epic Games, Sweeney denied that was the case, but dropped major hints towards the future plans for the mode.

“Not so, but don’t give up on Fall Guys. There’s a huge retooling underway that will make new things possible.”

There’s no indication of what the new retooling will include, but there’s speculation it could be AI-driven, given Epic Games growing stance on utilizing the controversial technology.

Fall Guys joined the Fortnite ecosystem in August 2024, which initially included Battle Royale integration but mostly comes under the UEFN and Creative Tools system.

While this has allowed creators to craft their own Fall Guys islands, it hasn’t resulted in a resurgence of the mode, and many may feel the ship has sailed.

However, Epic Games clearly isn’t pulling the plug on Fall Guys just yet, and it will be interesting to see what lies on the horizon for the mode.
