Marvel Rivals has increased penalties for toxic text and voice chat, with harsher action for severe or repeat offenses, and has added a new policy page.
They announced these changes in a long social media post on October 15.
Recently, we have further escalated our penalties for speech violations. For verified offenses, we implement appropriate disciplinary actions based on the nature, severity, and historical record of the violation. We will enforce significantly harsher penalties against players involved in severe offenses or repeated violations.
Marvel Rivals Launches Moderation Policy Page

Additionally, Marvel Rivals has launched a dedicated Moderation Policy page. NetEase said they want players to better understand the rules of speech moderation and related mechanics. However, they also emphasize the importance of players’ right to express themselves while ensuring they take appropriate action against malicious speech.
Speech moderation is an ongoing, long-term commitment. Moving forward, we will continually refine our systems for identifying, reviewing, and penalizing toxic speech to constantly improve the game’s communication environment. We also encourage all players to actively use the reporting function when encountering speech violations.
Earlier this month, the roadmap for Marvel Rivals’ season 10.5 was revealed. The season began on October 9 and is expected to run until mid-November. Mark October 23 on your calendar: the next stage of the Path to Doomsday begins with the Endgame event, featuring a 50-player PvE match-up against Thanos’ army. Check out the full roadmap here.
