Marvel Rivals Season 10.5 is about to kick off, and while there’s no new character arriving in the latest patch, hints have been dropped for the next addition to the roster.
Season 10.5 of the NetEase title begins on October 9, bringing a new Avengers: Infinity War event and the usual seasonal transitions to Marvel Rivals, and a potential peek behind the curtain has also been uncovered.
Nightcrawler Teased For Marvel Rivals Season 11
As spotted by Rivals Assembled on X, a new gallery card in Season 10.5 shows Moon Girl holding the Hopesword, the weapon tied to the iconic X-Men character Nightcrawler, hinting at his arrival in Season 11.
Previous leaks have indicated the fan-favorite would be making an arrival in Marvel Rivals sooner rather than later, and the hints suggest that is indeed the case.
The potential arrival of Nightcrawler for Season 11, which kicks off November 6, would be the perfect timing for the character, who is set to return to the MCU in December’s Avengers: Doomsday.
Alan Cumming is returning to play the role of the character, having last portrayed Nightcrawler 23 years ago in the second X-Men film, and a debut in Marvel Rivals would be the perfect fanfare.
Season 10.5 in Marvel Rivals also hints towards the big end-of-year event, warning that ‘Doomsday is near,’ which looks set to come alongside the release of the latest film, which will significantly shake up Marvel’s well-established cinematic universe.
Doom has been the big bad pulling the strings behind the scenes ever since Marvel Rivals was first released, and fans are eager to see what’s going to happen when it all comes to a head, and whether the villain will be usurped and replaced with a new big bad.
