Fortnite’s Hollow Knight Bundle Costs More Than The Actual Game

Fortnite’s string of bringing iconic characters and figures from other franchises into the game has continued with the arrival of a Hollow Knight collaboration, but the price point has caused a stir.

The Epic Games behemoth is in the midst of a gaming-focused season, which has seen the likes of Sonic the Hedgehog, Five Nights at Freddy’s, and Spyro the Dragon arrive in Fortnite.

A new Hollow Knight collab is now among them, bringing the character to the game as a Sidekick, but the cost has a rather significant comparison.

Hollow Knight Bundle Costs More Than Silksong

The Hollow Knight bundle on Fortnite is available for 2,000 V-Bucks, which includes The Knight Sidekick, the Hallownest Crub Back Bling, and The Knight’s Nail Pickaxe.

Those only interested in picking up the Sidekick from the collab content can do so for a price of 1,500 V-Bucks, though both prices work out higher than the cost to purchase the original Hollow Knight game, and its sequel.

You cannot directly purchase the required amount separately, and, instead, have to purchase a bundle of V-Bucks, which can cost as much as $22.99.

To get to collab bundle, 2,400 V-Bucks comes at a cost of $22.99, while purchasing the Sidekick only would require either purchasing the same V-Bucks bundle, or picking up two lots of 800 V-Bucks for $8.99.

That means it’s a minimum of $17.98 to get the most coveted item from the collab, higher than the $14.99 price it costs to purchase the original Hollow Knight game on Steam.

Silksong, meanwhile, is priced at $19.99, so while that’s slightly more than the required V-Bucks for purchasing the Sidekick only, it still comes in as less than buying the bundle.

That said, the pricing isn’t too surprising as it follows the standard Fortnite formula, but for those new to the game or who don’t pick up V-Bucks often, it will certainly raise eyebrows.
