A new ESRB rating has surfaced for Red Dead Redemption on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
All we have been hearing from the Red Dead Redemption franchise in recent days has been RDR2. We were recently informed that the game has become the fourth-best-selling title of all time. We were also told that the game was in doubt due to budget and time issues. Now, new details for the original RDR game have surfaced online.
Red Dead Redemption Rated for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Switch 2
If you head over to the ESRB website right now and search for Red Dead Redemption, you will see that a new rating has surfaced online for current-gen consoles. The rating mentions “PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series”, which hints at the game releasing for these consoles. The rating, content descriptors, and summary are all the same as previous ratings.
Lately, all the rumors that have been circulating are of a current-gen upgrade for Red Dead Redemption 2, which will see the title released for Nintendo Switch 2, as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with upgraded visuals and performance. However, instead of RDR2, the rating has surfaced for the original Red Dead Redemption game, which has confused all the players.
In other news, Rockstar Games has delisted Red Dead Redemption 2’s companion app. Additionally, IWGB has issued formal legal claims against Rockstar Games for recent firings.
