Palworld Devs Have No Desire to Be a Media Empire

According to a top company executive, Pocketpair isn’t aiming to turn Palworld into a media empire.

Palworld is a successful open-world creature collector in the vein of Pokémon. The game has already spawned two titles: Palfarm, a cozy sim, and Palworld: More Than Just Pals, a school dating sim and visual novel. Despite these two games being in the works, Pocketpair has no desire to turn the series into a media empire-type franchise.

Pocketpair Wants to Make People Happy with Palworld Spinoffs

During an interview with GamesRadar+, Pocketpair’s head of publishing and communications, John Buckley, explained that he knows there is a market for all of the spinoffs in the game’s universe. They’re just trying to make people happy, but they don’t want to branch out too far.

“Personally, I don’t think Palworld is going to be like this media empire, and we have no desire to be a media empire. But I think we can expect more kind of fun little Palworld stuff. And maybe, you know, if someone wants to, maybe someone else can take a stab at it at some point.”

Buckley also recently discussed plans for Palworld’s 1.0 launch. See what’s in store for the game at this link. Insider Gaming will continue to provide any and all updates on Palworld-related news.
