Rockstar Has Delisted Red Dead Redemption 2’s Companion App

Players searching for the Red Dead Redemption 2 companion app on Google Play Store or Apple App Store will find that Rockstar has delisted the application.

Red Dead Redemption fans are being greeted with multiple unfortunate updates today. Firstly, the actor for Rains Fall, Graham Greene, passed away at the age of 73. We have now learned that the companion application for RDR2 has been removed after being available for seven years.

Red Dead Redemption 2’s Companion App is No Longer Available for New Users

As revealed through Rockstar Games’ support page (via GameRant), the Red Dead Redemption 2 Companion App is no longer being offered on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store since August 19, 2025. Those who had previously downloaded the application will be able to access it through either their Apple or Google account’s purchase history. Moreover, players who purchased the Red Dead Redemption 2: The Complete Official Guide within the app will be able to access it there.

The Red Dead Redemption 2 companion app was released in 2018. It connected directly to the platform you were playing on and provided real-time interactive information on your smart device. Players could pan and zoom on the map, set waypoints, and mark areas of interest. They were also able to access Arthur Morgan’s core info and stats in real-time. Arthur’s in-game journal, stat tracking through Social Club, a complete digital game manual, plus an optional digital version of the Red Dead Redemption 2 Complete Official Guide from Piggyback, and more were available through the app.

In other news, the Red Dead Redemption 2 actor has admitted to misleading fans with an ‘exciting news’ comment. Additionally, a recent report has suggested that RDR2 could launch on Switch 2 this year. What are your thoughts on Rockstar delisting Red Dead Redemption 2’s companion app? Let us know through the official Insider Gaming forums discussion.
